　　Myearlyeducationwasreceivedinmyhometown,i.e.sixyearsinprimaryschoolandthreeyearsinjuniormiddleschool.Aftercompletingnineyearsofformaleducationin1958.IwenttoXiamenandparticipatedinthejointentranceexaminationforfive-yearjuniorcolleges.Fortunately,IwasadmittedtotheDepartmentofElectricalEngineeringatXiamenJuniorEngineeringCollege.IchoseElectricalEngineeringasmymajorbecause,ontheonehand,IlikedPhysicsverymuch;andontheotherhand,electricalindustryisamajorsectoroftheeconomyofChina.
　　ThefiveyearsofintensivetrainingcametoanendinJune1978whenIreceivedadiploma.AndinJuly1980.IwashiredbyNanYaplasticCompanyandhaveservedasajuniorelectricalengineeratthecompanytothepresent.Ienjoytheworkandfeelcompetentforthejob.
　　Inworking,however,I'veFoundthatwhatIhavelearnedinschoolislimitedandfarfromsufficienttohandlesophisticatedjobs.Therefore,IhavedecidedtoextendmyeducationandwouldliketoenteranAmericaninstitutionfirstlytoearnaBachelor'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering.Then,ifpossible,IwouldliketocontinuemyeducationtowardaMaster'sdegree.
　　Afterthisobjectiveisreached,Iwillreturntomycountryandseekajobinapublicfirm.MostprobablyIwillcontinuetoworkwithNanYaPlasticCompany.
